First of all before I begin my review of the book, let me just say that just like the other novels this artist duo has created, it left me with so many emotions each chapter like “I can’t believe that just happened!” to “What’s gonna happen next???” I could not put it down. This artist duo never fails to amaze me with their books.
When I first got this book and read the synopsis, I was intrigued yet kind of unexpectant to what really happens within the book. It was very shocking and totally unexpected the turn this book took, I loved it! Oh and let me just remind you since this is my first book review post, all my reviews for books will be SPOILER FREE!
From the very first chapter, I was engulfed. The main character is a woman named Shay who has an everyday life, she lives with a man who she is secretly in love with and has a normal average life like you and me. One morning, she’s late to work and has to wait for a train. That morning her life changed forever. She witnessed something tragic and unforgettable.
After witnessing this tragedy, Shays emotions are frail and all over the place as she tries to go back to her normal life but can’t get “her” out of her mind. It becomes near impossible once “her” friends become Shay’s friends as well. Shay thinks these women are beautiful, caring, successful woman but what Shay doesn’t know is she is extremely wrong. These women have secrets far from what Shay can imagine, and they are not trying to be her friend.
After reading this book, I was so shook. I was happy yet sad because I finished it, I’m sure you all know that feeling. I grew to love Shay and her want to just have true friendship. This book took me on all kinds of twists and turns, and I definitely enjoyed it. I will admit, I caught on a little more than half way through the book and knew Shay was in double but I definitely didn’t expect the Moore sisters to go so far. If you are a fan of these artist duo’s other books or you just like a good psychological thriller/mystery, you definitely won’t be disappointed in this book. It was unlike any other book I’ve read, I loved the story line a lot because I just dont hear plots like that often, I like how you got viewpoints from each character, that really made the story a lot better to me as well. I wish I would of heard more from Daphne towards the end though. But overall, great great book. ❤️
Have you read this book? If so, what are your thoughts on it? If not, do you want to?
